Modern Stoicism is a non-profit limited company, run by a multidisciplinary team of volunteers. Its aims are to research and publish information on the application of Stoic philosophy to modern living for the benefit of the general public.

Mellon Philosophy as a Way of Life Network (Un. of Notre Dame, USA)

The network connects faculty worldwide to develop and share courses, materials, and teaching practices that help students explore how philosophical traditions inform living the good life. It emphasizes diverse perspectives, dialogue‑based learning, and immersive assignments, fostering community and practical engagement with timeless philosophical questions.

Centre for the Study and Application of Stoicism (UK)

The Centre for the Study and Application of Stoicism (CSAS) is a multidisciplinary research centre based at Royal Holloway, University of London, with external members around the world. It brings together academics in Philosophy, Classics, Psychology, and Business, all concerned with the study of ancient Stoicism and how it might be put into practice today. 

Research Group on Philosophy as a Way of Life (Gregorian University, Italy)

This research group, moderated by Simone D’Agostino and Laura Cremonesi, intends to engage with the question on how to set out on the search for wisdom as a way of life through meetings and initiatives dedicated to the tradition of spiritual exercises and, in particular, to the exercise of “attention” in philosophy, mysticism, psychology, and literature.

Palinode (USA)

Palinode is a philosophical technology collective spearheading the creation of innovative products, academic courses, and creative events, while producing media rooted in the exploration of what it means to be human. It’s flagship product is Khora, a revolutionary open source social media and philosophical search engine that aids philosophical exploration by connecting concepts, intuitions, arguments in a personalized journey that facilitates self-reflection and interaction with different philosophical traditions and perspectives. 

ESPANTO – Association for the Development of Knowledge (Portugal)

Founded in Portugal with the launch of the country’s first Philosophy Festival, Espanto – Association for the Development of Knowledge is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and organizing educational, social, and cultural activities to foster the development of philosophical thought in its broadest sense.

The Cassirer Center (University of Wroclaw, Poland)

The Cassirer Center for International Scholarship and Cooperation advances global academic exchange and collaboration focused on the challenges of an intercultural, hyper-complex world. Not only a site for studying culture, it also seeks to promote and practice PWL, strengthening humanitas through attentive engagement with the life-worlds of others. 

Stoa Gallica (Paris, France)

Stoa Gallica is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together individuals interested in the study and practice of Stoicism in the modern world. Through its activities, it fosters meaningful connections, encourages the exchange of knowledge, and supports a committed engagement with the Stoic way of life.

Society of Friends of Epicurus

The Society of Friends of Epicurus is an international circle of friends who study, practice, and propagate Epicurean philosophy. Its members help each other to research and publish educational content, and facilitate virtual Eikas gatherings on or near the 20th of every month in memory of Epicurus of Samos and Metrodorus of Lampsacus, the main founders of the Epicurean lineage of philosophy.
